In the 70ies the ghettos of New York City gave birth to a form of dancing, that combined acrobatics with body control and a feel for the beat of the music. The Hip Hop movement gave the dance another push and today kids and teens love to move to the groove. They listen to fat beats and learn through Breakdance to move their bodies to the music. In groups they dance to set choreographies with solos included.
During the courses, which the Aikido Schule Hamburg offers, children and young people learn the basic forms of Breakdance, also called B-Boying. Feet on the ground, spinning on the head, standing on one hand, moving like a robot or cool group figures – all that is tought by Sonny Tee. For more than 22 years he has been Breakdancing and is well known in the scene.
